  • The Cat and Dog Fable, multilingual kamishibai (English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil)

The Cat and Dog Fable, multilingual kamishibai (English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil)

    Author: Jean-Claude Redonnet
    Illustrator: Kristine Hakim

This kamishibai is written in English ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, Mandarin ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ, Malay ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ and Tamil ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.
The four languages are on each page.

Synopsis: The cat and the dog live in the same house, but they do not get along together well. They are too different, they don't like the same things, and they don't understand each other.
But one day, they are going to talk together, and their life will change.

Through this poetic story and lovely illustrations, the child will understand the importance of knowing each other and the treasures of diversity.

The presentation format of the story is a Kamishibai one.
A kamishibai is a form of Japanese street theatre. Pages of Kamishibai are placed in a miniature stage-like device, and the reader narrates the story by changing each image. By this technic, the reader has a text in front of him and the people who hear the story only see the picture. This is very convenient for young children who are learning a new language.

All the sentences are written in 4 languages on the same page, the reader can access all and read in the language he wants.

๐ŸŽ Recommended from 4 years old.
