Author: Frederick Lipp
Frederick Lipp is an award-winning author of multicultural children’s picture books that tell poignant, universal stories set in different countries around the world: Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and even the United States in the communities of Maine’s newest immigrants.

Frederick is known for his lively, engaging talks with children that gently open new doors to understanding our diverse neighbours, here and abroad. He is a retired Unitarian Minister who worked in both the United States and the United Kingdom. In addition to writing children’s books, he set up a non-profit organisation that helps educate girls in Cambodia: Cambodian Art Scholarship Foundation. He and his wife Kitty live in Maine, USA.

He is the writer of Fantastic Daydreamer, Running Shoes, The Caged Birds of Phom Penh, Sky, one in a million, Baa, Baa, Baa-ing, Chalk and many other children’s books.
His book, The Caged Birds of Phom Penh, was named a Notable Book for Global Society by the International Reading Association.
